We have been a client of the Distance Learning Consortium (DLC) since December 2005, and I am pleased to write this recommendation for the Consoritum.
Prior to starting with the DLC we had no experience with on-line education, on-line curriculum, or the on-line instructional model. John and his staff at the DLC were very helpful with all aspects of getting us set up to do on-line classes. They helped us with the course design and structure, and gave us invaluable advice about how to approach on-line learning.
In addition, DLC helped set us up with the FirstClass software/platform and the hosting for all of our on-line classes. This saved us a huge amount of time getting all of the technical pieces quickly in place to offer on-line classes and they did all of this is in a very cost effective way. They also continue to provide all of our technical support and it is awesome.
Thanks to their help, we were able to quickly move the general education classes of our two-year degree programs on-line in about four months. And, about one year later we moved 25% all of our one-year programs on-line and now use a blended instructional model for all of our programs.

The Distance Learning Consortium is an excellent organization to host on line courses and seminars. We have offered the PACE review course and CLE seminars on the DLC network for over ten years. The network is both powerful and easy to use. Our students and faculty always give it high marks.
